Become a Lifeline for Aging Adults in Yuba and Sutter Counties

Volunteers are a crucial lifeline for the health and independence of our homebound neighbors in Yuba and Sutter counties. They deliver fresh, nutritious meals to aging adults and people with disabilities. By delivering nutritious meals, volunteers do more than help aging adults remain independent—they provide meaningful social interactions and ensure their safety. Many of the individuals we serve are homebound or isolated, and the simple act of dropping off a meal can brighten their day in profound ways.

Besides meals, our volunteers offer a friendly visit and conduct important safety checks to make sure those we serve are safe and well. Volunteers' deliveries can be a lifeline for aging adults who might not see anyone else that day. Without our compassionate volunteers, we couldn’t serve the hundreds of people in need throughout our region.

By joining Meals on Wheels Yuba/Sutter, you become part of a community dedicated to making a difference. Whether you choose to deliver meals, assist with office tasks, or help in other ways, your contribution helps us continue this critical work. Each hour you give directly impacts lives, fostering independence and connection for those who need it most.

URGENT NEED FOR VOLUNTEER DRIVERS: Right now, we are urgently seeking volunteers to deliver meals.
Volunteer Drivers pick up meals from local restaurants (arranged and paid for by us) and deliver them to homebound adults. Meals are delivered Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, and we will work with you on a morning or afternoon route that works with your schedule. Each delivery route takes about 3 hours to complete.
