Volunteer with MeAls on Wheels

Our volunteers are a lifeline to the Meals on Wheels program. Volunteers help to deliver hundreds of meals every month and make a big difference in the community. Through their service they are connecting with vulnerable older adults living in Yuba and Sutter Counties and helping them stay independent and living in their own home. Our volunteers are enriching the lives of vulnerable older adults and their families every time they knock on their door or make a friendly phone call.

The power of a knock on a door or a friendly phone call goes a long way with our program participants. We deliver more than just a meal. Our volunteers learn valuable skills and gain experience, develop friendships with older adults and other volunteers, have fun brightening everyone's day and become inspired by the stories of our older adults.

How to Begin

1) The first step is to fill out online application.

2) Second step is to attend our orientation and training session.

3) The third and final step is to complete the background check process.

After all three steps are completed, you will meet with our Volunteer Coordinator to determine your volunteering schedule and begin your volunteering journey.
